Yeah! RBAR season is back!! For those who dont know it stands for its Red Bull Air Race and the discription provided by the official site is "the world’s best race pilots in a motor sports competition that combines speed, precision and skill." sounds intersting right? it gets better when you watch it.

Basically its race planes flying through a tight track where by they have to fly between pylons called air gates. the track is normally located on water(sometimes on land). Pilots must fly with 'level wings' through blue gates and must roll their wings vertically (a maneuver called knive-edge) when flying through red gates. Other maneuvers include a half-cuban eight. There are many other rules, maneuvers and gate types like the chicane and the quadro not discribed here.

2009 season ended with Paul Bonhomme winning and having a 7point lead over Hannes Arch.

and the defending champion is still on the lead at Abu Dhabi this year. Hope Hannes Arch can regain his title like he did in 2008.
